Why should I use this system as an Independent Truck Driver?
Okay, so you pay for your tires, gas, insurance, truck payment, oil changes, and everything else that goes on that truck. IT IS YOURS – and you have earned it. Now why would you want to be any less independent when it comes to booking your contracts and making decisions regarding loads? The monies generated by your truck should be yours.
We understand that you don't have time to wear a tie and negotiate the loads in person with companies around the country. However, every independent truck driver is in need of the tools that "even up" the opportunity to conduct business in the shipping industry. No one is asking you to get up and drive a desk for 8 hours. We would hope that you simply plug your laptop into the cigarette lighter in that beautiful truck of yours 2 times a day, and start conducting the business end for yourself. You will find it easy and efficient; you are back to your own decisions and everybody makes more money, you and the person shipping goods. The days of reliance upon a third party to book and maintain a schedule for you are numbered. Highway direct assumes you will split that paycheck with the shipper and both of you are better off for the transaction.
